Now that winter is upon us, I am beginning to realize that my summer tan has long been a thing of the past. Due to my Irish and Russian heritage, I tend to become somewhat translucent during the balmy winter months. This year I’ve decided to combat this unattractive trend and have begun searching for a safe and effective tanning solution.

For several reasons, I am diametrically opposed to lying in a tanning bed. Not only are there significant health risks, but it also feels like a less than masculine venture. Last week my sister suggested that I try some of her tanning lotion, and I instantly saw results. My skin has regained its healthy glow and I can even apply it in the privacy of my own home.
