Choosing a Spray Tan Tent
In our last post, we went over the bare necessities and startup costs of a spray tanning business. While most people know about the basics like spray tanning solution and an applicator, there are other peripheral accessories that will improve the quality of your services and make you appear more professional. One of these additional products is a spray tan tent.
While it may seem obvious that a spray tanning tent is a sound investment for novices, even advanced spray tanning professionals utilize them too. Hauling a tent around is hardly an attractive proposition, but luckily there are a variety of lightweight models on the market today that popup and are ready to use in seconds. Look for a spray tanning tent that has a sturdy design and is stain-resistant—nothing looks more amateurish than a tent riddled with blotches.
Starting a Spray Tan Business
With all of the health concerns surrounding conventional tanning beds, the spray and sunless tanning industry is rife with opportunity. That being said, like with any business endeavor, it is important to make the necessary preparations and calculations before delving into your own spray tan business. The first step is to layout your business plan and model for your business.
There are two basic options when it comes to a spray tan enterprise: a brick-and-mortar location or a mobile business (an obvious hybrid would be to combine the two). Depending on which route you choose, your overhead costs and monthly expenditures will differ greatly. Before getting too far into your business, it is important to take into consideration all of the associated startup costs, such as tanning supplies, business licenses and insurance.
