Preparing for a Sunless Tan

Tuesday, May 31, 2011
posted by TanNBeautiful

Before I get a sunless tan, I have a beauty regimen I strictly follow to prepare my skin. First, I thoroughly exfoliate my skin with a body polisher used on dry skin. Then, I hop in the shower to wash away dead skin cells. I pat my skin dry and check that all cuts and scrapes have healed properly.

When I’ve completed my exfoliating ritual I’m ready for a spray tan. I’ve found a great technician who makes house calls with her mobile tanning booth. Her concierge service allows me to get a perfect tan from the comfort and privacy of my own home. My beauty regimen gets big thumbs up from the technician because it makes her job easier in terms of ensuring that the spray tan absorbs evenly and easily into the skin.

The Beauty Of A Spray Tan Tent

Nowadays, I am amazed at how many different ways you can tan. It used to be just lying out in the sun. Now there are so many options to choose. Going to a salon, tanning lotions spray tans and obviously old fashioned lying out in the sun.

Tanning bed canopies, also known as a spray tan tent, is another option. You can even set on up yourself. It takes just an hour to get it all set up. They are adjustable, so you can move it around if you need to. You can have it in your front room or bathroom, which ever you want to do. It can be beneficial if you don’t have the time to go to a salon.

Promoting Skin Safety

The Skin Cancer Foundation wants to remind sun seekers that there’s nothing wrong with your natural skin tone. In fact, a lack of darker-than-normal pigmentation shows others that you’re smart about using protective skin care and that you’re devoted to keeping safe and not encouraging the potential risk of skin cancer that’s brought on by avid sun exposure.

If you’re looking for a safe sunless tanning solution, spray tanning and tanning ointments are recommended. While tanning lotions can easily be used at home, it’s harder to obtain a spray tan at home because of all of the equipment you’ll need like a spray tan tent and an airbrush gun. I would suggest that you turn to a professional when seeking a spray tan. However, which ever sunless tanning option you choose, either is still a much healthier option than sun tanning.

The Wonders of Spray Tanning

Who doesn’t love the sun-kissed glow of a natural suntan? Not only is extremely relaxing to lay out in the radiant sunlight and soak up the sun’s warming love, but the rich caramel pigment you obtain after a long day in the sun is absolutely divine. Unfortunately, natural sun tanning poses too many health risks to be called upon for a regular source of a suntan. Skin cancer seems to become more and more prevalent each year, not to mention this sort of sun tanning will give you premature wrinkles.

Spray tanning is a simple solution to natural sun tanning and allows you to keep your beautiful tan with a fine mist of tanning spray. Whether at home or in a tanning studio, suiting up for your spray tan couldn’t be easier. Simply slip into your bathing suit and step into a tanning tent to prevent this mahogany luster from staining the surrounding walls or furniture. You’ll be looking sun soaked in no time.

Spray tanning has made it easier than ever to get a great tan no matter where you go. On family vacations, to a friend’s house or even on a business trip, we can now get a great tan in even the most overcast or cold environments. Offering portability, convenience and ease-of-use, spray tanning is becoming more and more popular. You can’t easily travel with your tanning bed, and if you’re an out-of-towner you’re likely to pay an arm and a leg at the local tanning salon.

With a collapsible tanning tent and spray tan applicator you can be ready to apply your tan in a matter of minutes. You don’ have to fumble around with any unwieldy equipment and you can fit it right in your suitcase or backpack. No matter where you go your tanned skin will go with you, so why not bring the tanning equipment along and keep that beautiful glow when you’re away from home.

Your New Business – Part 6

Finding a mentor is not something a lot of us spend any time thinking about. And for most of us it may be the furthest thing from our minds when we’re thinking of starting our own business. In fact, I would imagine most people don’t even know how to go about doing this, or even how to get started at all. Social networking sites are an excellent resource for the tech-savvy while school groups and even local clubs can turn out to be a wellspring of wisdom and knowledge.

You don’t want to wade into the waters of business ownership without everything you need for success. That means you need to educate yourself with more than just numbers and data. You need to know how the business works. You’ll need to know what’s killed the unsuccessful and what’s propelled the successful into a wonderland of profitability. Even if the only thing you’re going to sell is spray tan tents, don’t leave yourself out in the cold and find yourself your very own spray-tan Jedi for an apprenticeship that will pay off.

Your New Business – Part 5

It goes without saying that there is no “I” in “team.” I know, it’s cliché. It also happens to be true. A critical factor in the success of any business is building a winning team. You need to know that the people you hire can be relied upon to achieve your business’ goals efficiently and honestly. From working a register to providing comprehensive customer service, nothing lets your customer know you care more than arming yourself with a great group of people.

They also need to be trainable. You don’t want to hire what seems like the perfect fit only to find out there’s no way they’ll ever learn your business. Whether it’s the simplicity of setting up a spray tan tent or explaining complete product information to your customers, this is an important factor indeed. Try asking friends and relatives and look for the truly dedicated customers who come back again and again. Many people would love to work at a place they’re already spending so much time anyway!

What to Look For in a Tanning Tent

Wednesday, September 1, 2010
posted by TanNBeautiful

Every spray tan professional recognizes the importance of the solution and applicator, but your tanning tent is a critical part of the equation as well, particularly if you have a mobile tanning business. Here are a few of the key features to look for when making your purchase:

~Portability: Hauling around a bulky piece of equipment simply isn’t an option when you have dozens of clients to see. It’s imperative that your tanning tent be compact and lightweight while still being effective. Look for a tent that can be setup and stowed away in just a couple of seconds. The pop-up models are usually the way to go.

~Professional Appearance: It’s crucial to maintain a professional appearance when you are providing your service, so don’t pick a tent that looks like a plastic tarp and always clean it up immediately after application.

~Windows: Lighting can be a problem inside a tanning tent; be sure to get one with windows on the top.

~Easy Cleanup: The tent should preferably be made of vinyl, which will make cleaning up splattered solution quick and easy.

Maintaining Your Professional Appearance

Anyone who has worked in the spray tan industry knows that the solution has a tendency to create little splatters during application. This isn’t a big deal as DHA tanning solutions are water-based, but it will make you look unprofessional. Nobody wants to get a spray tan from someone who has solution all over their clothes and equipment.

The best way to prevent this is by setting up a spray tan tent every time you apply a tan. Tents effectively capture any rogue spray and help keep your and your equipment looking good. These tents are easy to clean, making it easy to maintain your professional appearance. In the unfortunate event of a spill, a tent also helps contain the mess.
