Recently, I came into a little bit of money because of an inheritance and I thought that the best use of it would be to invest it in some sort of small business. Promote Your Business!
So you’ve decided to take your love for sunless tanning to a new level by starting your own spray tanning business! You have great equipment, and all the supplies you need to start spraying. There’s only one thing missing… the clients! You won’t get far in your business if you don’t have customers! Here are a couple simple, low cost ways to help promote yourself!
Word of mouth works wonders! You tell someone, who tells someone, who tells someone, who.. well you get the picture! If you know a couple people who are in the public eye(students, waitresses, local celebrities), or who are simply eye catching individuals, give them a free tan and ask them to tell their friends! Everyone will ask where they got that gorgeous glow, and they will tell them that you are the individual responsible! Have you ever watched the show Jerseylicious? Personally, I can’t stand the big hair and constant fighting, but my mother thinks the show is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Ringing in the New Year
My time visiting my aunt and uncle in Florida has been wonderful. I spent December 31st exploring South Beach and stopping by various hot spots to ring in the New Year. Put your name and business information on the side of your car; print up flyers and business cards to give out; purchase advertising in local papers. Consider making deals with hotels and gyms to set up shop every once in a while; they can market it as a special concierge service to their customers.
